To increase efficiency and productivity for construction industry professionals, John Deere has expanded its Performance Tiering Strategy (P-Tier) to its lineup of articulated dump trucks (ADT). These two new ADT models give customers the option to upgrade to a more intuitive, more comfortable dump truck model without sacrificing the power and durability they’ve come to expect from John Deere.
"The P-Tier models were built with the operator in mind to support ease of use and operator comfort," said Justin Steger, solutions marketing manager for John Deere Construction & Forestry. "Redesigning the layout of the components in the cab and grouping features together and packaging them in a meaningful way based on the application are examples of how we're incorporating customer feedback and delivering further improvements."
The 410 P-Tier and 460 P-Tier ADTs, which are new to the P-Tier machinery portfolio, will have the same dump body, drive modes, and fuel efficiency as previous E-II models. In addition, all P-Tier models will feature a more modern interior cab layout, as well as an updated external style.
Customers will have two different trim levels to choose from and a wide array of packages for everything from cold weather conditions to debris management. Some features of the first trim package include a 15-amp converter, halogen lights, and a black exhaust stack. The second trim package includes perks, such as a 25-amp converter, automatic temperature control, and power-adjusted rear-view mirrors.
Some onboard features that now come standard on P-Tier articulated dump trucks include rollover protection, frame protection, shuttle shifting, and downhill dump protection. Customers can also run their equipment for longer while maintaining optimal safety.
