John Deere has recently announced a significant strategic partnership with EGO and its parent company Chervon, who are renowned global providers in the Outdoor Power Equipment and Power Tool industries. This collaboration will enable the brands to offer homeowners an extensive range of EGO's battery-powered lawn care solutions through John Deere dealers. This partnership represents a significant development for both companies, combining John Deere's strong presence in the market with EGO's innovative and environmentally-friendly products.
"Simplifying the landscape management of properties is what drives us every day. We seek to provide our customers with a broad range of tools, which will now include a battery ecosystem that can be extended into a variety of property care solutions," said David Thorne, VP of John Deere turf and compact utility business. David added that by partnering with EGO, John Deere will offer high-quality battery-powered equipment and strengthen the market position to serve customers better.
Under this new agreement, customers will now have the convenience of purchasing EGO-branded battery products through John Deere dealers. EGO batteries are known for their portability and versatility, as they can be used across a wide range of over 70 compatible products. This means that customers will be able to tackle multiple projects using different products, all powered by the same battery system.
In line with this, John Deere is showing its commitment to a sustainable future by introducing the first-ever electric zero-turn mower, the Z37OR Electric. This revolutionary step is part of John Deere's vision for an “Electric Tomorrow," where they aim to reduce carbon emissions and create more environmentally friendly solutions.
