John Deere will extend its commitment to nurturing the elite careers and courses of golf’s female athletes as part of a multi-year extension of its partnership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Golf Courses.
The renewed partnership names John Deere the Official Golf Course Equipment Supplier of the LPGA and 2024’s Solheim Cup, which will occur at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
As part of the partnership, John Deere representatives will work closely with the club’s agronomists to deploy industry-leading golf equipment and technology for course management. In addition to creating exceptional playing conditions for this year’s LPGA golf course competitors, John Deere has previously supported golf course management for the 2019 and 2021 Solheim Cups, contested at Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course and Inverness Club.
The 2024 Solheim Cup, slated for this September, will be Robert Trent Jones Golf Club’s first major women’s competition. U.S. Captain Stacy Lewis and European Captain Suzann Pettersen will guide their teams, comprised of the top professional female golfers from the United States and Europe. The biennial international match-play competition features the best U.S. players from the LPGA Golf Courses Tour and the best European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET).
